Globe life field was built in conjunction with texas live!, an entertainment complex the rangers built adjacent to the stadium. There was some question as to whether such a relatively new venue needed to be replaced, but the hot weather was keeping fans away and so a stadium with a retractable roof was considered. Tickets are $25 for adults, $22 for seniors, military, and first responders, and $15 for kinds under 14.
